This is a tribute to my amazing Grandma, Betty. Betty was a kind woman, with a beautiful soul. Anything she could do for anyone she would. She never took life too seriously and could put a smile on your face on the darkest of days. I have never known anyone with such a zest for life. No matter how old she got she never lost her youthful spirit. We always said “she has a song for every occasion”, and she shared this with her sisters. She was forever singing and teaching me new songs, as she did my mum, her daughter. She was an amazing mother, a loving grandma to me and my two brothers, and proud to be a great grandma, or Granny Bee as she was known, to 3 beautiful girls. Dementia is a cruel illness that took her far too soon from us, but she was surrounded with the love of us all. She is reunited with my grandad now, who she was married to for 61 years, and I am sure she will already nagging him for something or other, poor grandad. She is also back with some of her sisters and brothers which will give her so much joy. She will be having a few gin and tonics and singing away with them, at peace. She will never leave us, and will forever be looking over us. We love you forever Grandma. Good night, God bless.
